The developer, Minsoo Ko (the “Developer”), complies with applicable privacy laws and publishes this Privacy Policy to protect the personal information of users of Mwodeora (the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
Mwodeora has no sign-up and never asks for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information.
- The links, titles, notes, folders, and screenshots you save, along with text your device reads from screenshots (OCR), are stored only on your device and in your own iCloud private database. The Developer runs no server or account system and cannot see what you save.
- iCloud sync works only when you are signed in to iCloud on your device and is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
- The Service does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
2. App Permissions
The Service optionally uses the following permissions.
| Permission | Purpose | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Photo Library (full access) | Detect new screenshots, file them into folders, and delete filed screenshots from Photos (only after you confirm) | Optional (without it, only screenshot features are unavailable) |
| Notifications | Weekly reminder for unseen items, per-folder reminders | Optional |
| Face ID / Touch ID | Unlock locked folders (authentication happens on-device; biometric data never reaches the app) | Optional |
| Files | Read a KakaoTalk self-chat export to import only links and photos (parsed on-device; chat text is not stored) | Optional |
| Clipboard | When the app opens, check only the kind of copied content (whether it is a link) to offer saving. The content itself is read only when you tap Save | Optional |
You can change permissions in iOS Settings at any time. Declining a permission disables only the related feature.
3. Network Communication
The Service communicates externally only for the following purposes.
| Destination | Purpose | Data sent |
|---|---|---|
| The website of a saved link | Title/thumbnail preview, checking for broken links | The link URL (the same information a normal browser visit sends) |
| Cloudflare Workers (relay) → Anthropic Claude (AI) | Folder suggestions, short titles and one-line summaries | The link’s title, description and domain, or text from a screenshot, plus your folder names. Images are never sent. Bank account, card, phone, email and national ID patterns are masked before sending. The relay stores nothing. |
| Apple App Store | Pass purchase and restore | Payment information handled by Apple (card details never reach the Developer) |
| RevenueCat | Checking and restoring pass status | Anonymous device identifier, App Store receipt |
| Apple iCloud | Sync across your devices | Your saved cards, folders and images (your own iCloud private database) |
| Amplitude | Anonymous usage statistics for product improvement | Anonymous device identifier, screen and feature usage events (no saved links, titles, images or text; not personally identifiable; no advertising or tracking) |
AI folder suggestions can be turned off in Settings > Save; when off, nothing is sent to the AI servers. Screenshots and photos are never sent to the Developer or to AI servers, and text recognition (OCR) runs entirely on-device.
International Transfers
For AI suggestions, pass management and usage analytics, data is transferred to the following overseas providers.
| Recipient | Country | Purpose | Data | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | United States | Relaying AI requests | Link title/description/domain or masked screenshot text, folder names | Discarded immediately after processing (not stored) |
| Anthropic, PBC | United States | AI folder suggestions and title generation | Same as above | Deleted after a short period under Anthropic’s commercial API policy; not used for model training |
| RevenueCat, Inc. | United States | Managing pass purchase status | Anonymous device identifier, App Store receipt | As long as needed to manage the pass |
| Amplitude, Inc. | United States | Anonymous usage analytics | Anonymous device identifier, feature usage events | Deleted after the period needed for analysis |
4. Third-Party Disclosure and Processing
The Developer does not sell or provide your personal information to third parties. The following processors are used to operate the Service.
| Processor | Task |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Relaying AI requests |
| Anthropic, PBC | AI folder suggestions and title generation |
| RevenueCat, Inc. | Managing pass purchase status |
| Amplitude, Inc. | Anonymous usage analytics |
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- Saved cards, folders and images are kept on your device and in your iCloud. Deleting the app removes the on-device data; synced iCloud data can be removed in iOS Settings > iCloud > Manage Storage.
- Cards you delete in the app stay in the Trash for 30 days and are then permanently deleted automatically; you can also delete them permanently from the Trash at any time.
- Photos deleted from the Photos app while tidying screenshots remain in the Photos app’s Recently Deleted album for 30 days.
- Settings > Data > Export lets you download all saved cards as a CSV file.
6. Your Rights
You can view, edit, delete and export your saved data directly in the app at any time.
